The iconic Powerpuff girls that most of us, the millennials grew up watching and idolizing has been truly empowering to attempt fight crimes and save the innocent from getting butchered. The little girls with some tantalizing superpowers sure did add some wit, charm, and personality into all of us who grew up watching them.

As I got into a digital marketing career, I had a major epiphany on how it is closely knitted to this animated series.

How often do you shrug your shoulders and give up on your path to get the lead funnel all decked up?

I am sure you sometimes wish you could just cast a spell to make that happen instantaneously instead of choking about the idea of bringing conversions.

What if I told you that’s attainable?

Wait!!!!! Whaaaat!? How!!??

Hold on. We have got to follow the footsteps of a scientist named Professor Utonium.

Yes. You read that right.

The guy who created the Powerpuff girls by adding sugar, spice, and everything nice with a mysterious substance “X”.

The iconic trio both Townsville and your Marketing Team needs.

  1. Bubbles the “Content creator “

Content creation is the basis of every marketing effort you take. The content creator has the responsibility of churning out creative and multiple types of content. Content creators have the personality of Bubbles and are like sugar because they create content that everyone likes and enjoys.

Uniques skills & capabilities:

Content creators need to be extremely aggressive and churn out a lot of quality content and embrace a variety of content as well. Aggression is an essential quality, more of motivated aggression to have content created catering different verticals, capturing the industry happenings, and covering a range of use-cases in the industry you are in.

As the internet is dumped with content beyond the brim, day after day, content creators need to carry aggression to outsmart the competition,

They also require unique creativity skills and the tactfulness to intelligently repurpose content. They must target different types of content (as mentioned below).

  • Blog
  • ebooks/whitepaper
  • Infographics
  • Videos
  • Datasheets
  • Thought leadership
  • Case studies
  • Web copies/Landing pages

Content creators should also add their touch of creativity to withhold brand identity and uniqueness that is reflected by the content style and voice.

2. Buttercup the “SEO strategist”

The role of SEO strategist just rightly collides with the character sketch of Buttercup. This tough hot-headed tomboy is what your team needs to battle up the competitors who give you a hard time finding your sweet spot on the search results pages.

Unique skills & capabilities:

Like Buttercup, you may want to take a no-mercy route to exploit the power of keywords, paid advertising, on-page, and off-page optimization techniques. You should also have eyes for writing the most captivating and result-driving title tags, h1 tags, meta tags, and meta-descriptions. Who better than Buttercup can be multi-dimensional for a role that demands this quality?

You may also want to spy on competition and know the tools that help you achieve monitoring and optimizing your campaigns to drive desired results. The SEO strategist should perform:

  • Website auditing
  • Content strategizing
  • Link building
  • Keywords research
  • Track algorithm updates
  • On-page/off-page optimization
  • User experience
  • Local Listings
  • Competitor analysis

3. Blossom the “Marketing specialist”

The marketing specialist like Blossom is the commander and leader of the team who optimizes the efforts of the other two. They are responsible for the distribution of content across multiple channels. They must identify, trial and test the channels and weigh the metrics one against the other and plan content distribution tactfully.

Unique skills & capabilities

They must have a microscopic vision of the distribution channels and have ideas about hitting the untapped niches. They must be the mastermind behind the plans and strategize the content and promotions by understanding the audience, the segmentation, and the channels. The distribution channels include:

  • Website
  • Search engines
  • Display ads/Advertising
  • Social media
  • Email
  • Tradeshows
  • PR/Influencer marketing

Conclusion:

Just like how the mayor is relying on the Powerpuff girls to save Townsville, your CEO is also relying on you to bring her business. Don’t you worry. Get into the lab, grab these ingredients. Add and mix them up to create the perfect blend of superpowers to save every day. Be it the villains or your competitors, no Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins or Princess Morebucks can scare you anymore.

Once again the day will is saved. All thanks to the Powerpuff girls.
